Eddie Herr tournament round-up

Jan 2, 2014

Brian Cernoch advanced to the Semifinals of Eddie Herr last week

Eddie Herr is one of the torch bearers of junior tennis tournaments.

According to IMG Academy, the host of the tournament, Eddie Herr evolved from a 100 player local tournament in 1987 into an international event attracting the best international junior players.  A couple of years back, 2,200 players representing 92 nations applied for the prestigious tourney.  A bevy of current pro circuit stars, including Roger Federer, Maria Sharapova, Andy Roddick, David Nalbandian, Mardy Fish and Jelena Jankovic, previously competed.
