Taka BertrandSenior Coach and College Advisor

Taka is a JTCC alumnus and holds the record for the most singles wins at Vanderbilt University. After graduating from Vanderbilt in 2008 with a degree in economics and playing professional tennis in 2009, Bertrand simultaneously launched her coaching career and started her studies at the University of Chicago leaving her legacy of two UAA Conference Championships, an NCAA DIII Finals appearance, and a #2 national ranking.
She has coached at three nationally-ranked NCAA Division I and III colleges. From 2012-15, Bertrand was the head women’s coach at St. John’s University where her team reached the semifinals of the Big East Conference Championships and then at Yale University where she fielded a nationally rated Top 20 recruiting class.
