Miguel LopezBusiness Development Manager

Miguel is a native of San Salvador, El Salvador. He grew up playing competitive tennis and in moved to the United States in 2013 to pursue collegiate tennis at Mercyhurst University. Miguel graduated from Mercyhurst in 2017 where he doubled majored in Sports Businesses Management and Marketing Business. At Mercyhurst, Miguel was part of the Men’s Tennis team that went all the way to the NCAA Atlantic Regional Final in 2015, 2016, and 2017. In 2015, the team appeared in the NCAA Sweet 16s in Surprise, AZ, and won the 2017 PSAC Conference title, the first-ever in the school’s history.

Upon graduating Mercyhurst, Miguel began his master’s degree at Georgetown University. While completing his master’s, Miguel received a PTR Certification and served as the Assistant Tennis Director/Tennis Professional for McLean Racquet & Health Club. He also worked as the Special Events Associate for Lagardère Sports and managed the 2018 Citi Open. In May of 2019, Miguel received his Master’s in Sports Industry Management with a concentration in Strategic Marketing, Communications, and Digital Media. He now joins us as the Business Development Manager at JTCC.
